Lightning Talks at the MAH

Santa Cruz’s very own Museum of Art & History is hosting a local-based event that the whole community should be involved in! Lightning Talks are held at the beginning of each year to inform community members about which direction the city is heading and the many goals for the year to come. Each talk will deliver a year’s worth of information in under 5 minutes, keeping the talks interesting while still being insightful. Some of this year’s speakers include Cynthia Chase, Santa Cruz’s mayor, Levi EagleFeather, Robert Singleton, Pauline Margret Seales, Thomas Dawson, and many more. Topics will vary from politics to music to climate change. Be sure to come to the MAH on Friday, Feb 17th for a night of laughter, education, and community. This event proves that learning and fun are not mutually exclusive. SPEAKERS Santa Cruz Mayor Cynthia Chase on the future of our city. Among the new wave is Zion-I, Monolink, Scarub, Charlesthefirst, Ancestree, Dreaming Ghosts and many more. San Lorenzo Park will be the staple of community for SCMF, helping to express how much we would like to give back to the community as an event. Booths will be set up for Nonprofits and NGOs to spread awareness for their local companies. Other fun-for-all-ages events will be included at the park such as yoga, hula-hooping, face-painting, and other community, fair activities.
